Project Overview

An intelligence tool that monitors the SEC’s disclosure system “EDGAR” 24/7, extracting and analyzing “meaningful” information in real-time from vast amounts of filings.

1:Background & Challenge:

For global Japanese copanies and institutional investors, grasping the movements of competitors and investment targets in the US market is essential. However, the volume of information on EDGAR is overwhelming, making manual filtering difficult. Furthermore, mere new arrival notifications often contain too much noise to be useful for decision-making.

2:Key Features & Solution:

  • Intelligence Filtering:
Algorithms identify filer attributes (e.g., Japanese HQ, SPAC vs. Operating Company) to eliminate noise and notify only what truly matters, rather than just simple keyword matching.
  • Bot Insights (Automated Analysis):
The “Quantum Edgar Watcher Bot” instantly analyzes filing contents. It provides linguistic insights into “early signs,” such as sudden spikes in filing frequency by specific companies or changes in activist shareholding ratios.
  • Cross-Border Capabilities:
Extended the know-how cultivated from monitoring Japan’s TDnet/EDINET to the US market. Designed to help Japanese business professionals intuitively grasp market trends despite the language barrier.
