We're Open During the New Years

Today was the last business day for most companies in Japan.

Looking at the markets, 2018 was the first year the Nikkei index was in the red for the year since the start of “Abenomics”.

It has also been a brutal year for crypto as it has gone through and currently still is in the middle of a 90% correction from its all time highs.

Is this a sign of more turbulence to come in 2019?

No one knows and only time will tell.

But one thing is certain.

Though the prices of cryptos are down from last year, the development of the technology has never been as exciting.

In 2017, the most you could do on the blockchain was to buy drawings of cute kitties.

Now in 2018, thousands of people are playing with games and casinos everyday on the blockchain.

Settlement is instant and the user would not know that they were interacting with a blockchain.

in 2017, DEXS (decentralized exchanges) were still an experiment with clunky UX and UI.

Now in 2018, they are many times more convenient and safer than centralized exchanges.

There is no need to send funds to the exchange, which removes the central point of failure from the exchanges.

In 2019. we will likely see more exciting advancements and the best projects in the industry will begin to shine as the bear market weeds out the weak and removes the noise.

As they say in the crypto industry, now is the time to “buidl”.
